a preview of things to come

the other day we had our kindergarten tour with G. she's only 4 1/2. i can't believe we're even contemplating sending her to kindergarten, much less actually doing it (for the record, we were doing this before we knew i was pregnant.) the cut-off date in my area is 12/1, which puts her in the clear by about 6 weeks.

i don't know why i didn't think of it but she was the smallest kid there! by a good couple of inches. the poor kid looked out of place. it's something she'll have to get used to, i suppose, especially if she gets her height from my side of the gene pool.

we took the tour and all was well. she was holding my hand, looking around and i felt a little tug. i leaned down and she whispered in my ear:

"mommy, this school is so much bigger than my school!"

i wish i knew the secret to making her feel safe.

i think my husband thinks i'm going crazy. just a little bit.

my poor husband. he's so patient. and nice. and thankfully puts up with very little of my shit.

my latest obsession is cloth diapers. i wanted to do them with my older daughter but now, with 2 coming, i really want to do it. he just smiles and nods (this time i actually got some agreement, thanks to my friends who point out the cost savings!)

between this, the babyfood maker, and the breast pump, he might just lose his mind. a little.

And here we go

i didn't think i'd much want to do my own blog. EVERYONE has a blog. who cares about my blog, right? i live a pretty boring, albeit happy, life. nothing dramatic going on. then the shit hit the fan.

i got pregnant again. and not just a little pregnant, i got doubly pregnant. out of nowhere, i ended up with twins. there are 2 babies currently residing in my nether regions. this is when i thought to myself, "i should probably keep track of things this time around, shouldn't i?" so here i am, making a blog.

i'm not quite as boring as i make myself out to be. i'm actually quite witty sometimes. so if you're interested, please feel free to check things out. i may or may not update frequently. we'll see.
